So recently ive been playing both the original and remake Shadow dragon and after that started Mystery of the emblem book 2, and i gotta Say, it's still My favorite version of the archanean games, maybe it's the character designs and color palette that feels so 90s but i like how iconic and consistent it is with small details.
i always had a pet peeve with Marth's design across the games , and i realize now, that every Game from Shadow dragon DS onwards gets Marth's intended design wrong, they always use a variation of his Mystery of the emblem book 2 altean outfit, which is the iconic one, after all it was the one used in smash too. But the thing is they completely forget Marth's original design from the OG famicom Game, You know the greek inspired one without pants, and they asume it was just a one thing from that Game, but they're kinda wrong, because in Mystery of the emblem, Marth has 2 portraits and 2 designs, the pantless versiĆ³n got an update in prerelease art and appears in game as the battle Sprite and book 1 portrait, while the Mystery of the emblem iconic design is used in his second portrait in book 2. So in Game Marth Does in fact change outfits , also it originally Made sense that Marth had a more Greek inspired design, considering he spent 2 years in Talys, and Talys kinda had a a Greek island theme going on, with Caeda and ver pegasus.
So what i'm saying is, all this headcannon, no one cares about a 30+ year old Game, brought me to draw that Lost design from Mystery book 1 and at first i just wanted to draw the character only, but i ended up drawing a scene and turning it into an illustration š¤£, either way i love Fire Emblem and i'm probably gonna do a book 2 , and then Genealogy of the Holy War art too
